INDRANI RAIMEDHI, author and journalist
I read a lot this year. One of them is a slim volume by Savant Krishnamurti to Himself it is a book of quiet contemplation about some of the most fundamental issues of life.
The other book is by eminent psychiatrist Dr Kay Redfield Jamison titled An UNQUET MIND, a memoir of moods and madness what makes the book so gripping is that the author is not only a world authority in manic depressive illness but she herself suffers from it.
I read a lot of short fiction essays memoirs online from the New Yorker, The Electric Typewriter, and Slate as well interviews of great writers in the Paris Review.
