Indrani Raimedhi will read books on human relationships in 2016

I would like to read more non-fiction in 2016. I am also planning to read novels of Joyce Carol Oates and John Updike .

Both are authors who reveal startling truths caught in the intricate web of human relationships. Joyce Carol Oates is an American author. Oates published her first book in 1963 and has since published over 40 novels, as well as a number of plays and novellas, and many volumes of short stories, poetry, and nonfiction. Joyce Carol Oates catches the dark side of human nature and reading her is like walking along a deserted twisted road in the dead of night.

John Hoyer Updike (March 18, 1932 – January 27, 2009) was an American novelist, poet, short story writer, art critic, and literary critic. He published more than twenty novels and more than a dozen short story collections, as well as poetry, art criticism, literary criticism and children’s books. John Updike celebrates what is American and universal at the same time.
