Today we have started our journey. We will fly from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu to Lukla, world’s most dangerous airprot at a height of 9, 500 ft. From Lukla we started our first day trekking to Phakding ( 11, 5000 ft).
Our leader Manas Barua stayed back at Kathmandu for leaders meeting of different Everest expedition with Nepal tourism ministry which has been deferred till tomorrow.
He will joined our expedition later. It is snowing in the Everest Base camp area due to which more than 100 mountaineers fell sick. Assam Everest expedition, 2015 will reached Namche Bazar tomorrow. All the members of our expedition team is doing fine.
We also met Bachendri Pal, the first Indian lady mountaineer who climbed Mount Everest in 1984 in a mountaineering equipment store at Kathmandu yesterday. Bachendri was a good friend of Assamese mountaineer late Nasim Akhtar.
