Vasanthi Hariprakash will read Ayn Rand this year
VASANTHI HARIPRAKASH
Rather than two books, there are two writers I am dying to read this year. Towards the end of the year that went by, I read two books that I simply loved. Both happen to be autobiographies.
Connecting India, an autobiography of Sam Pitroda (the man who revolutionised the telephones in this country by setting up those STD-PCO booths?). And Pandeymonium, the life story of India’s celebrated adman who gave us those lovable fevicol ads and Mile sur mera tumhara. Both delightful, both stories of how grounded Indians with modest beginnings, made it to the very top of their professions.
Okay now, to my 2016 wishlist.
Okay now, to my 2016 wishlist.
Haruki Murakami: Have heard friends quote him left-right, want to now see (read ‘read’) for myself just what is he all about. Any book of his.
Ayn Rand: By the end of this year, I want to overcome the incompleteness of my life and not face that question evva again, “You mean you havent read Ayyyn Rannd?” The Fountainhead please.
