The Second Concept Educations Public Relations Summit-2018, organised by “Learning & Promoting Public Relations” (LEAP PR) in collaboration with Tangent PR & Events, and driven & hosted by Dalmia Cement will be held at the Guwahati Press Club on Saturday. It may be recalled that the First SBI PR Summit held in May 2017, hosted by BCMJ Cotton College Guwahati, was a trend setter in this respect and generated a lot of interest in PR among youngsters of the region. The Summit aims at mentoring young graduates and post graduates who want to find a foothold in the field of PR. The participation at the Summit, however, is only by invitation and confined to students belonging to institutions located in the North East.
The Second PR Summit will commence with a motivational talk by Nang Monroe Gogoi, women’s bike expedition organiser and a diploma holder in PR. This will be followed by what the organisers call “India’s first Workshop on Selfies, Photos, & PR” in which noted psychiatrist Dr Nahid Islam along with mobile phone experts, leading photographers and videographers, and users will participate. A selfie contest is also planned for the participants.
Mindset Coach & Behavioural Consultant Naheed Khan Hossain will speak on “Know yourself before knowing your Public.” There will be a panel discussion on “Problems & Prospects of PR” in which students, PR practitioners, and corporate executives will take part. Farhana Subhan, Business Partner, Fast Track Travels, will deliberate on the subject “Travel for Private & Public Relations.”
“The Doyen of PR” and other awards will be presented at the concluding session in which the keynote address on “Youth & Public Relations” will be delivered by Trikalagya Rabha, former CPRO NF Railway and presently serving as the Divisional Railway Manager of Nanded Division, South Central Railway. The chief guest at the session will be Indrani Raimedhi, Features Editor, The Assam Tribune and guest of honour, NN Taye, former GM (PR) ONGC and recipient of “Doyen of PR” Award in 2015.
